River sports at Pra-Loup

Hop on the Ubaye, flowing right below the slopes.

In winter, you skied down its slopes. This summer, the river is waiting for you — down in the valley.

The Ubaye, right below you

Pra-Loup overlooks the Ubaye valley. That green and white ribbon winding below your apartment terrace — that's the Ubaye, ranked among Europe's finest whitewater rivers. In 1980, the first rafts began running its rapids. Today, with the Oueds & Rios team in Méolans-Revel, you can experience that adventure for yourself, whatever your level.

It's a fifteen-minute drive from the resort to our base. No need to plan a full day : half a day is all you need for a memorable run.

Choose your craft for the descent

At Oueds & Rios, the craft is just the vehicle. What we offer is the experience you want to have — and our guides are here to tailor every run to your group and your mood.

The power generated when the whole crew paddles in unison — it's a feeling you can't describe, you have to live it.

In spring, the Bachelard is waiting for you !

From Pra-Loup, you also look out over the Gorges du Bachelard. This torrent rushes down from the Col de la Cayolle with a steep gradient that makes it particularly punchy. It's only navigable for a few weekends in spring — and that's precisely what makes it exceptional.

A spring weekend at Pra-Loup is a rare chance to run two rivers with completely different characters in two days : the Ubaye for power and volume, the Bachelard for technique and gradient. After the run, the Auberge du Bachelard in Uvernet-Fours or the Chomp-Chomp food truck right at the takeout — their pulled pork burger is our second favourite thing after the river.
